Paralysis can occur following strokes, surgeries, impingements, distractions, and other injuries. Some individuals make gains naturally over time (without intervention from a physician or therapist), and some motor capacity is regained. However, no improvements have been observed in many people’s situation for many years following the onset of paralysis.
At GCNC, we have worked with many paralysis patients and achieved outstanding results. By using neurointegrative therapies, we have restored motor function to patients who previously suffered from foot drop, spastic/paretic arms, facial paresis, etc.
Some of our patients have presented for initial care with NCVs, stating that there was ‘no response’ to the nerves tested. After only a few treatments, visual motion of the affected joint was achieved. Our doctors have worked with patients of all ages and helped them recover functions they thought they had lost forever.
